Contract Sweeping is a South East Queensland commercial cleaning contractor, operating since 2017 from Cornubia in Logan. Most sites need more than one. We scope the lot in a single walk-through and run it on one schedule, so nothing gets cleaned twice and nothing gets missed.
It is the first thing we work out on a site walk, and it decides everything after it — machine, frequency, access window and price. Here is the short version.
Dust, grit, sand, leaf litter, packaging, stone — anything sitting on top of the surface. A sweeper lifts it into a hopper and filters the dust out of the air on the way through.
Tyre marks, oil film, spilled product, traffic grime — anything bonded to the surface. Water, detergent and brush pressure break it loose; the squeegee takes it away.

A cylindrical main brush flicks debris up into a hopper while side brushes pull litter in from kerbs and edges. A filtered vacuum captures the fine dust before it reaches the air — which is what separates a sweeper from a broom.

Read the answer→You rarely get an empty warehouse. We plan a pass order with your supervisor, working against the flow of the pick face — so the machine and the forklifts are never in the same aisle, and we leave the aisles we cannot safely enter for a shutdown pass.
Read the answer→External concrete and bitumen collect a coarser mix — stone, sand, leaf litter, packaging. It needs suction and hopper capacity rather than brush finesse, and it is worth sweeping before rain rather than after, when the silt has washed into the drains.

It depends on six things: area, frequency, access window, surface, debris type and the machine required. We do not publish a rate card because the same square metre can cost twice as much on a night shift as on a scheduled weekday run. Sweep loose material, scrub bonded material. Dust, grit, sand and packaging sit on the surface and belong in a sweeper hopper; tyre marks, oil film and traffic grime are stuck to it and need water, detergent and brush pressure. Most sites need both, sweeping first.
Frequency follows traffic, not floor area. Busy distribution centres and retail car parks need weekly attention; lower-traffic warehouses run fortnightly or monthly; construction access during earthworks needs daily sweeping. See the frequency guide.
Yes. Nights, early mornings before trade and weekends are routine, and on retail and warehouse sites they are the only practical window. Daytime access is the cheapest option where your site can allow it.
